Background:
Ambrosia. The liquid manifestation of pure joy. A single tasting, apparently, has the lingering effect of causing wine to taste more sweet for the rest of one's life. Two can quench and overcome one's grief and sadness. And repeat consumption allegedly permits a mortal to live forever.
The Golden Geese have had a long history of traveling Faerun and collecting its ingredients. Now they finally know the location of the last: the headquarters of the Iron Hand Mercenaries.
In the past, the Mercenary Harlow rivaled the Golden Geese, and attempted to collect the very same ingredients for himself. During an altercation, both the Geese and Harlow were ambushed by the Iron Hand, led by the soldier of fortune, Marlene, who promptly relieved Harlow of all his ingredients by blackmailing him in exchange for the life of his friend and companion, Donavon.
Unfortunately for Harlow, Marlene has kept Donavon captive, to interrogate him for further information on the location of other ingredients.
The Geese and Harlow have struck a temporary truce, ready to organize an attack upon the Iron Hand's HQ to rescue Donavon and recover the Ambrosian ingredients. Now the time has come to put together and execute the attack - by ways of infiltration, direct assault, or otherwise.
Consideration:
This is a scheduled plot event. Party decisions will affect plot and character outcomes, which may involve altered NPC alliances, permanent loss of target items and/or permanent NPC deaths.
