Half-OOC: New boss system/ party quests scheduled testing
-
With the last build release, which involves an interactive CC vs. Boss system, it'd like to know availability of everyone who'd be interested in running a test on this.
It'd basically be the second test vs. the boss we already tested (the Griffon Stormlord, you can find the video of the last test run here).
Difference of that test run is that this time the creature will have some CC vs. Boss progression bar and that it'd only spawns once per server reset for all party members taking the quest from an NPC at Kront.
The test would explore:
- The CC vs. Boss new functionality.
- Party quest that'd spawn hostile creatures at the boss's area only if player/s enter the area and have advanced in a quest conflict stage (for this, if everything is good, only one party member should talk to the Quest NPC to make the entire party in the same area progress in the quest line)
- An extra party-Quest that advances when killing a specific amount of defined creatures (griffons for this instance), which can be taken from a second NPC before jumping into the area of the other quest-boss area.
The Stromlord Griffon would have its AI fixed with the combat stages, so there might be a point in which facing it is a bit different from the past test run.
Anyway, schedule:
In order not to step on anyone scheduling IC events, I'm aiming to do it on next Saturday in a range of UTC: 3:30/4:30 p. m., or EST/EDT: 10:30/11:30 a. m.
The battle should last around 15 mins if everything goes as planned.

Thank you all for coming! If you can post your input/recommendations/critics of the quest-boss fight here that will be most helpful.

Two things I realize:
- Quests with the party wide option enable should get initiated for all party members (right now, only updating quest progression works). I'll see what I can do in this regard.
- The CC vs. Boss Progress bar only gets updated when your PC lands a hit (or a spell). Which is unintuitive. I'll try to make it update for the entire party every time one hits (not sure if this is gonna be expensive code-wise, but we'll see).

If you’re talking about the 15th, I can be there.
