The "Endless" and the Fargone Prince
[OOC: We are quite behind on documenting plots and events, between this one and the two others we have begun since the conclusion of the doppelganger incursion. That is not such a big deal, considering we are a smaller group at 7-10 players, and information travels easier. That said, it is nice to have a hub for plot development and RP. Please treat this thread as intended both for DM updates as well as your RP interactions among each-other.]
Following the conclusion of the doppelganger incursions, it was revealed that Kasimir Fisher was behind the King's magically induced, the abduction of counsel members, guild leaders, and nobles, and the ultimate hiring of the doppelganger mercenaries.
The King's magically-induced slumber was, in fact, a dark ritual involving Zhengyian blood magic intended to restore to life previously destroyed undead. Which undead, precisely, it is unclear. There are whispers of the name "Iliph Thraun," though these whispers and the extent of this one's involvement is at this point unclear to the Golden Geese.
The Golden Geese, working with Isaac Thaddeus, dispelled the King's magical slumber and the blood magic ritual. Thalaman Fisher awoke, however, to news of his brother's teleported escape to faraway regions of Faerun. Indeed, Kasimir Fisher, in a last-ditch effort to disrupt the efforts of the Golden Geese, attacked the King's chambers while the Golden Geese were raiding the doppelganger hive below ground, but was rebuked by General Gom and Peltarch's military forces.
Now, Prince Kasimir is missing. Following an ambush against the Golden Geese, as well as further investigation, it was revealed that Prince Kasimir is working in tandem with a cult called "The Brotherhood of the Endless," or simply, "The Endless." This cult is dedicated to restoring previously destroyed undead, and researching the secret to true immortality in indestructible undeath through the use of magic that requires the blood of royals.
Is this their only objective? With whom are they working? And where else in Faerun might they strike? How much does Prince Kasimir know? Is he truly possessed, or was he much more aware than one might expect? How far has the wayward Prince truly gone?
Dark Potentate
The Cerulean Knights are working overtime to locate the Prince Kasimir, including in coordination with numerous magical organizations across Faerun. These include arcane circles, magical academies, and military officials in major cities such as Waterdeep, Suzail, and Silverymoon.
The Prince has been spotted raiding the Ruins of Castle Perilous. He has also entered into altercations against the Gray Hands of Waterdeep, who found him skulking about the royal tombs beneath that city. The altercation saw Prince Kasimir launch a bevy of necromantic spells as well as arcane fire against the Gray Hands, killing one and permanently wounding another.
That is but one of several recent reports of the Prince's activity across different cities of Faerun.
Peltarch's King Thalaman Fisher has requested the Golden Geese work with the Ceruleans to locate and return the Prince Kasimir by any means they can - still believing, it seems, that his brother can be reasoned with ...
