Description
Mei is a reedy woman of lean muscularity, haunted in some way as if her strength is fueled by a mania. Her straight black hair reveals highlights of umber only when the light catches it obliquely. Of half-Shou descent, she claims to hail from Telflamm, and her mixture of western dress with that of the homeland certainly evokes the larger city's cultural blending. Mei favors dark colors - purples and deep reds. From a distance, the hues often make her appear drab, but close, one can tell the willowy silk blouses and finely woven chain are well cared for.
Though Mei has a strong streak of mischievous humor, she tends to adapt to company. There's a plaintive rise to her voice, as one more used to suggestion than command. In moments of uncertainty her inquisitive eyes betray a desperation long buried.
As a young adventurer, she carries well-made but basic gear. Her magic is largely of a bard's arsenal though, like any actor, she seems to possess a knack for imitating other talents. In combat, she favors a spear of Shou make and fights with more intuition than precision. When the going gets bloody, she's known to don theatrical masks of the Shou opera, particularly those of a beautiful young woman and a red-faced devil.
