Raid Target: Elias Houl, High Priest of the Hidden Moon

Background:
Upon your arrival at Moonreach Keep, you were greeted by nobles in exile as well as the Clergy of the Hidden Moon. When Col Geroldine and his Zhentarim forces invaded of the north, the Cleimant Council sent their bannermen West, along with the majority of the Lunar Knights led by May Celine, to assist in the defense of the Nars alongside the City of Peltarch and their allies.
With a handful of Cleimant bannermen and only three lunar knights, the High Priest Elias Houl was charged with the Keep's safety during the absence of the main Cleimant and clergy forces. It was during this time that an unknown murderer began killing Selunite faithful, in occult and archaic rituals that blackened moonstone deposits that are found throughout the Province of Moonreach.
A band of misfits you now might now call friends formed the Locus Operandi -- a trade name for your adventuring group that has attempted and so far failed to resolve the murders and occult rituals, and apprehending the clandestine operative behind them. After a series of investigations and interrogations, you uncovered that the missing persons Zamo Palewind and the Lunar Knight Shane Mills were afflicted by some form of possession, the particulars of which remain unclear. When you seemed to draw ever closer to the answers you needed, the High Priest Elias Houl accused the Flamekeeper Ereda as conspiring with the fiends and criminals of Caldera Manor as suspects and culprits. When the Locus Operandi moved in to defend the Flamekeeper, Elias then began to accuse the Locus itself during the inquisition and confrontation in the Cleimant Council and moonstone throne room.
It was during this altercation that the Keep was attacked by shadows and undead, clamoring forth from the accursed grounds beneath the Keep. Following the attack, the High Priest Elias Houl has gone missing, and following further investigation has become the prime suspect in the murders and occult rituals.
Working with Flamekeeper Ereda and the flame arts magicians of Caldera Manor, and after at least temporarily resolving certain animosities and conflicts with the Lord of that Manor, the Locus Operandi has since identified Elias Houl's latest haunt in the dungeons and catacombs beneath Moonreach Keep -- somewhere, it seems, below and adjacent to the seventh sub-level below.
That is your next destination, in your search for Elias Houl and efforts against his apparent complicity in murders and the corruption of the moonstone deposits.
Consideration:
This is a scheduled plot event. Party decisions will affect plot and character outcomes, which may involve altered NPC alliances and/or permanent NPC deaths.
A Note on Player & NPC Actions:
The Locus Operandi has acted to attempt to resolve the murders and occult rituals. Adversarial NPCs have also acted during each round of investigation, depending on party decisions, successes, and failures, which will be reflected in the raid and its circumstances.
