Physical Description: The refined courtesy of his expression, manner, and voice is betrayed by his typically cold and distant eyes. He stands tall, with a straight posture and countenance that is both urbane and arrogant. With purpose and measure, each of his steps are naturally deliberate, controlled, and precise. His jacket is as taut around his lean and limber athletic form as the rest of his wardrobe, which consists mainly of utilitarian leather and cloth. His waist is encircled by an array of belts and sheaths which hold his equipment: three scabbards for shorter swords, an assortment of throwing knives, some tools, a few potions, and a scroll case.

Public Knowledge: Despite his practical attire, he possesses the manners and etiquette of a nobleman, adhering effortlessly to the generally accepted customs and norms of an intercity upper class. While he apparently speaks with candor and directness, his combat reputation is that of someone who relies on deception, subterfuge, and other such underhanded cloak-and-dagger tactics. He fights with a sinuous rhythm of protracted pauses, delays, and observation, followed by surgical bursts of aggression involving, for example, stabbed backs, severed knee tendons, and kicked groins.

He has only recently arrived in Peltarch, following the restructuring of that city which took place following Geroldine's war. To most Peltarchians, he simply goes by "Alden," or, to certain of his current adventuring companions, some variation of "Aldo," "Aldy," or "Al." He does not give a last name. Rumor is that at least one Peltarchian in a position of authority -- rumored to be none other than Princess Elizabeth Fisher herself -- has apparently recognized him and pejoratively referred to him as "Johnny Highhold," or more generally as a "Highholder," suggesting High Hold as his origin or home.
